Final Image - Joanne

This is my final image of Joanne, the reason I have chosen this one is because it show's vulnerability, the photograph she is holding is of herself, it is representing looking back at how she used to be with sadness. Using the bed uses various connotations of sexual context and vulnerable and homely contexts. Joanne is still dressed in a mutton dressed as lamb style, perhaps coming home from a night out alone?!

Final Image - Sarah

I have chosen this image of Sarah as my final as it show's the mutton style outfit well whilst showing her getting on and doing normal day to day things whilst like this. The reflection in the mirror shows both sides of the face, to get a full expression.

Final Image - Keeley

I have chosen this image of Keeley as I like the setting of the kitchen and the pouring of the wine. The table and the dishwasher gives a family feel to the room, although Keeley is still dressed in a mutton style.

Emilie, Kym & Tara

This was a fun shoot working with four models, The concept was too get the girls to show the fun element of dressing up as school girls, having a giggle and not taking them themselves seriously. At the moment I am torn between two images, i like the one with the bikes and graffiti as this sums up school days really well, but I also like the one with the sunset in the background, it captures a natural moment but has the essence of kids being out after dark!

Sarah

The idea behind this photoshoot was to capture the "mutton" doing her household chores, dressed in a way most would not consider doing their housework! I am unsure at this stage which one to choose for the final image, I like the window image shot from the inside but because you can't see much of the clothing, i don't think it works as well. I also like the one by the bathroom sink as it gives a more home feel too it.

Hellen Van Meene

Hellen Van Meene has captured intimate portraits of young girls in their natural surroundings. They are captured alone in odd, intimate moments of inbetweeness and vunerability. These photograph's can give a very uneasy and uncomfortable essence to them. There is a feeling of these adolescents are unsure of who they are or what they should be.

Work in Progress

With nearly all photoshoots nearly complete, I am now deciding which way to present my photograph's. I will be presenting in a book format and I am in two minds as to wether to have a series of three images of each model to create a narrative or to have one image of each model for maximum impact.

Joanne

My first shoot with my eldest women went very well, the concept behind this is 'Mutton dressed as lamb', women that dress much younger than their actual age. I wanted to show a vulnerability and loneliness in this photoshoot and felt it was portrayed by Joanne as I intended.

Freya

This was by far my hardest shoot yet, Freya was a little camera shy and didn't want me to take her photo, so capturing her was quite difficult. I had to try and get her unaware, although this kind of worked as it gave a natural feeling to the shoot. I like the bottom image best and it really catches the moment of what she is doing.

Aoife

My second shoot with the three year olds were taken with Aoife, I wanted to portay her in her bedroom as it has a princess feel with lots of dressing up clothes and a dressing table. The aim was to have her dressing up and playing with nail varnish but to show her through a playful manner. I felt this shoot was a good one, the colours are lovely and Aoife showed her fun side too.
